Ifølge en pressemelding skal tillegget til Google Earth inneholde mer enn 6700 historiske bygninger, hvorav elleve byggverk, inkludert Colosseum, presenteres i detalj. Den tredimensjonale modellen inneholder også utfyllende tekstinformasjon skrevet av historikere
Prosjektet har blitt utviklet i samarbeid med Past Perfect Productions og UCLA.
